IDSA Practice Guidelines (web site) – IDSA offers a nicely formatted mobile app which you can use to review guidelines on the fly. Purchase by guideline or in a bundle.
USPSTF Guidelines App (web site) – The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force offers the AHRQ ePSS app, which allows you to search by your patient’s age/sex/tobacco use/sexual activity to help identify appropriate screening services.
SHOTS by STFM (web site) – The SHOTS app is available on iPhone/iPad/Android. It was created by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and includes: “the complete set of CDC vaccine schedules and footnotes…graphics, images, and commentary. Important up-to-date information is available for each vaccine, including: basics, high risk indications, adverse reactions, contraindications, catch-up, administration, epidemiology, brand names, and additives.”
Guideline Central (web site) – The GuidelineCentral app makes society-produced guidelines available through a single app. It is only available for iPad/iPhone and requires registration (free) in order to login.
The Radiology Assistant– This app (for the iPad only) was created by the Radiological Society of the Netherlands and offers expected radiologic findings by condition.
SCAT2– Sport Concussion Assessment Tool.
AAFP Photo Quiz App (web site) – The AAFP offers this helpful app to facilitate review of dermatologic signs. Currently available on iPad/iPhone and coming soon to GooglePlay.
ABFM Board Review App (web site) – Offers question sets in groups of 10 to help prepare you for the family medicine boards. Currently available on iPhone.
